Dynamos hit Castlemaine for six in the sun.

Castlemaine Utd  2 -  Vs Tralee Dynamos "A" 6

Sunday saw Tralee Dynamos travel over the hill to Castlemaine to take on Castlemaine Utd in the league,a daunting task at any time but Dynamos travelled with a full compliment of players available to them and so on a beautiful afternoon it was game on, Dynamos were quick into their stride and had the ball in the Castlemaine net after 1min16 seconds courtesy of  Billy Stack with a low drive from just outside the area which deceived defenders and goalkeeper alike a great start but wasn't built on,instead Castlemaine equalized after a defensive mix up and so with 5mins gone it was even steven.

However Dynamos again composed themselves and were unlucky when Diggins pile driver skinned the crossbar soon after Castlemaine won a corner which was cleared by Maurice O'Rahilly up field to Dynamos new signing Saad Mohammed Ali he cooley rounded his marker and gave the keeper no chance so 2 - 1 to Dynamos at the break.Dynamos made one substitution with Pa Daly coming on for Maurice O'Rahilly at the back and after 5 mins in Casltemaine won a free kick 30 yds out and again the defence failed to deal with it and Castlemaine equalized.

With 12mins gone Eddie Duggan broke on the left wing squared the ball to Diggins and his wizardry won him a free kick outside the area he took it himself and hit a sweet strike giving the keeper no chance,17mins gone Saad's workrate wins a corner Samier takes and Cassidy up from the back plants a header in the Castlemaine net.Dynamos at this stage rang in the changes bringing on Edgar McGrath for Mark Fitzgerald ,Mickey Lynch for Billy Stack and Darren Power for Eddie Duggan again it was attack after attack and with 15 mins left Ivan Maher won the ball at right back played a one two with Edgar and set up Diggs for his second with a neat pass.At this stage Dynamos made their final substitution bringing on the ageless Eddie Foster for Saad who had just run out of steam and it was Eddie's clearance that found Darren Power who's pin point cross was dispatched with ease by  Dynamos inform striker Damien Diggins for his teams 6th and his own hat trick a fitting way to end the game. As next Saturday's 1/4 final approaches and is uppermost in Tralee Dynamos thoughts it is good to see the team respond so well to the management so hopefully there will be no injuries and no excuses on the day it wont come soon enough for all concerned.....
