KERRY SCHOOLBOYS UNDER 15 LEAGUE

KINGDOM BOYS 4 KILLARNEY ATHLETIC 2

All week we were looking forward to our first game of the new season,we have gained some new faces but unfortunately we have lost some of last years personnel as well but life goes on and so did our game.

We hosted Killarney Athletic and we didnt have to wait too long for the first goal 2mins 35sec to be exact and courtesy of one of our new men Nigel O'Connor who linked up well with Seanie Moloney to put us ahead,we held this for the next 25mins only to give away a needless free kick 20 yards out Athletic made no mistake and leveled the game.

This seemed to unsettle us slightly and so we had to work hard to regain our composure and again went in front with a well taken goal this time from Darragh Carmody who linked up well with Jonathon Hannafin.

At half time we led 2 - 1.Into the second half we took the game to Athletic and were rewarded 10 mins with a Seanie Moloney penalty that increased our lead to 3 - 1 We were now going well and with Paul White dealing with anything Athletic could throw at him we oozed with confidence throughout the pitch shortly after it became 4 1 and it was that man Gary O'Neill who after a neat one two finished clinically giving the keeper no chance.

Killarney Athletic to their credit never gave up and got one back with time running out, however Kingdom Boys ran out worthy winners. So our first game was full of excitement and endeavor, good all round performance the new lads Nigel O'Connor,Paul White,Donnacha McGarry,and Jarrad O'Sullivan acquitting themselves well, our back four were solid and commanding, midfield were adventurous and our forwards were clinical.

Special mention to our Wayne Duggan, Niall O'Riordan &  Martin Fitzgerald who came off the bench and showed the management that it ain't going to be easy for them this season also congrats to Referee Eoin Moynihan on having a good game well done all round.
