Kerry under 16 campaign came to a end in the AUL Complex in Dublin at the weekend. Kerry playing their second game in less than 24 hours in searing heat conditions of 25/26 degrees on both days put up a herculean performance just falling short to a Dublin side.Goals from goal poacher supreme Wayne Conway and Captain fantasic Donal Murphy had Kerry on level terms with just 10 minutes left on the clock.

Alas a wonder strike from 25 yards out by the Dublin midfielder gave our No.1 Stephen Bartlett no chance as the ball flew into the top corner despite the best efforts of Stephen.A goal worthy of winning any match.

The management of the team would like to thank all players for their committment, honesty, hard work, skill, ability, heart and a never say die attitude. It wont be long before this team many had never played at this stage of the All Ireland's before will return and capture silverware. A personal hope is that the proposed formation of the Eircom Under 18 league will happen otherwise outside of club challenges Eircom Under 21 is the next stage for these players.

Best of Luck to Stefan O'Shea and Presley Dube and Jonathon Lyne who are at present sitting state examinations. A special thanks to Paddy Lynch for all the help he provided for the squad since last February.

To the M.C. of the Kerry Schoolboys League who made the whole journey possible and finally a special thanks to the Grand Hotel Tralee for the generous sponsorship. To Tom O'Shea F.A.I.'s Regional Development Officer who assisted in the preparation of the squad well done Tom

To my own club Tralee Dynamos for making the pitches available for training and matches for the Kerry squad.
