TRALEE DYNAMOS 5 MASTERGEEHA 1

TRALEE Dynamos who last played about five weeks ago, have resumed where they left when they defeated new boys Mastergeeha 5-1 with a power packed second half display. It was a tough task for the Killarney side as they are in the Premier Division for the first time but in many respects, maybe it was better to get this game out of the way as Dynamos are the yardstick to measure where you stand. So it may get easier for Mastergeeha, they stayed with Dynamos for most of the first half but experience eventually told.

Adrian McHugh gave Dynamos the lead but Paul Lenihan equalized approaching the half hour mark. However despite the efforts of Mike Sullivan and Tommy Cooper at the back for Mastergeeha, Dynamos with Mark Fitzgerald and Maurice O’Rahilly to the fore, finished the half the stronger, scoring twice before half time with McHugh getting one of them.

It was never a contest in the second half, hard though Mastergeeha tried and McHugh went on to complete his hat-trick while Maurice O’Rahilly gave the champions a 5-1 start on an excellent surface
