KINGDOM BOYS SCHOOLBOYS SECTION

Notes by Tony O'Neill, P.R.O. Kingdom Boys

13/06/2010

As we finish the 09/10 Season we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our Players,Parents,Guardians,Supporters,Coaches,Managers and their families for all the help dedication and support throughout the season. Although it wasn't the best in terms of trophies it was in terms of Development. How brilliant it was to see 3 of our current Under 16 squad make their National League debut's. As we begin a new era in the Under 20 National League it is pleasing to see nearly all of that squad involved.

As we bid farewell to this years Under 16 squad from schoolboys soccer it is worth noting the enjoyment that those players have given to the general public not just in Kerry but in Ireland as a whole. The legacy that thse guys have left behind will be very difficult to follow.

This past season has seen many journeys on the road and at home. Our 11's lost out to eventual winners Cherry Orchard who can forget the 12's win over Salthill the 15's win over Home Farm the 16's win's over Cherry Orchard and Belvedere. These games can and will only develop our players further at a National Stage.

Open Day Trials 2010/11 Season : Kingdom Boys are holding an Open Day on Monday 5th July in Dynamos ground's Cahermoneen. We are inviting all players aged 11-16 to come along and join the growing list of players to play with the best Schoolboy Club in the country.

Under-11,12,13's from 6.00p.m.-7.15p.m.

Under-14,15,16's from 7.30p.m.-9.00p.m.

Volunteers/Coaches/Managers: We would urge all Adults to come along on the night and meet the officials to discuss any involvement however little you can give for the new season.

Kennedy Cup: Best of luck to Brian O' Connell who represents K Boys in Limerick next week in the Kerry colours. Brian is a tremendous talent and here's hoping he has a fantastic week.

Awards Day: This years awards day will take place on Sunday 4th July. Please keep in touch by visiting the website www.traleedynamos.com

Congratulations: Well done to Christy Leahy of St Brendans Park who had the honor of there grounds in Cahermonen named after him last Saturday.

National Cup Semi Final

Crumlin United V Kingdom Boys (Sunday 16th KO TBC): Next Sunday K Boys will travel to Dublin to try and achieve what no other Schoolboy team in Kerry have failed to do and that is to try and reach a Schoolboy National Final. This bunch of players deserves great credit for all the work that they have put in over the many years that they have represented not only Kingdom Boys but the County as a whole. What a fitting finale it would be come Sunday evening if Boys were to be preparing for a National Final. We would urge all parents/guardians friends and supporters to make the journey next Sunday to cheer on our Boys and make it a remarkable journey.

Remember Parents/Guardian’s, friends and supporters these players have made you proud so please, please get behind our Boys in Green for the entire match and roar us to victory.

Please check the website (www.traleedynamos.com) for confirmation of Kick Off time for next Sunday.

Thanks: A special thanks to Brian Mc Carthy for the sessions over the last two weeks. Brian’s qualities as a brilliant coach is well known the length and breath of the country and our lads would have benefited greatly from his input.

We need 700 for the next step in our entry into this competition which has an amazing e100, 000 first prizes.

MAJOR DEVELOPMENT LAUNCH:  Now the Hard Work Begins; Following a very impressive launch in the Brandon Hotel, where the 3D and drawings of the new Stadium attracted very favourable comment the hard work of making the plans a reality has begun.

At the launch the crowd, including the A Championship squad, former players and parents of Academy players, the Board of Director and Cllr Mairead Fernane, was addressed by Ger Moloney Chairman of Tralee Dynamos, Chris Kerins, Chairman of Kingdom Boys, Noelle O'Brien, Kingdom Girls Academy, Brian Twohig, Kingdom Boys Academy and Dynamos main sponsor Tony Hynes of CPC.ie. All endorsed the importance of the club having a ground and facilities that it can be proud of. Those from the Academy spoke of having to change training venues at least three times in the last few months. This is also something that our A Championship side also has to endure.

Therefore the plans to turn on the floodlights for night games, the construction of the Full Size All Weather, the pitch and ancillary facilities are vital for the future of the club.

How you can help was outlined with avenues open to all pockets as every Euro will be vital to progress this ambitious but achievable project.

Direct Debit: Direct Debit forms are now available with options of donation e5,e10 or e20 on a weekly or monthly basis. We hope that all parents will sign up to this, in which ever option suit them as it is your kids that will be the major beneficiaries of this work.

For this you will receive a Season Ticket to our A Championship and U20 Home games. We are also presenting all our underage players with a season ticket (where they must be accompanied by an adult) as we know they want to come along and support our senior teams.

Player Sponsorship: If you have a business and would like to sponsor a player that is available for only e200.

For that you will have your business listed on the website and in the programme published once we get the A Championship Fixtures, your business listed on an outdoor sign at the grounds and tickets to a game of your choice.

Please contact Noel, myself or any of the players if you would like to support them in this way.

Kellogs Field of Dreams - We need all kids and grown up kids! To collect tokens from Kellogg’s Corn Flakes for their Field of Dreams competition.

We need 700 for the next step in our entry into this competition which has an amazing e100, 000 first prize.

Pitch Side Signs - We are also hoping to start erecting signs around the pitch in the very near future. We have a number of these already but need more.

Again if you have a business and would like to have your sign at pitch side please contact us.

The Board and Officers of the Club are working hard to make this project a success and also to be in a position to approach the banks and the Government when the next tranche of Sports Capital becomes available.

However if we do not have the support of all those with an interest in the future of the club, and especially the parents / guardians of our future stars it will become a much harder prospect to bring the facilities to the level we all want to see.

Under 12 League Kingdom Boys 1 Listowel Celtic 2

Boys slim chance of league honours fell by the wayside on Tuesday last where they went down 2 1 to the away side in Ard Na Li.

Under 13 League Listowel Celtic 1 Kingdom Boys 6

Tonight Kingdom boys u13s  played away to Listowel in glorious sunshine. Although  none of them could win the league they still wanted to play well for their coaches and themselves. The boys started the game with a very high intensity that put Listowel immediately on the back foot and it paid off when Calvin scored the first goal within minutes. Cahill scored the second. Listowel tried to defend against the boys attacks but to no avail as soon after  Robert (Captain) scored the third. Just before the half was over Ferdia scored number four which was followed by the fifth scored by Calvin.

In the second half we made several substitutions but yet again when they tried to attack us our defenders and our midfield coped with it . As the half wore on Listowel scored a goal from a free but we replied when Shane scored a sixth but we could have scored more but for their keeper who made some vital saves. Overall it was a well deserved win for  this team of friends who are still enjoying a frustrating season. Man of the match goes to Daire Walsh. The final score was 6-1 to Kingdom Boys.

Team: Derek Horgan (Goalie), Daire Walsh, Klaudio Dema, Thomas Phelan, Timmy Murphy, Kieran Maher, Ferdia O’ Brien, Robert Mc Govern(Captain), Cahill Lehane, Dylan O’ Brien, Calvin Foley:

Subs: Shane Lowth, Josh O’Reily, Joseph O’Callaghan, Darren Sweeney, Kevin O’Shea, Jack O’Shea

Under 12 Premier: Park 2 Kingdom Boys 3

Kingdom Boys picked up their 3rd win of the league with a very impressive win over local rivals Park. Goals from Kelvin Foley (2) & Tony Phelan gave Boys their first league win over the Park. This performance should encourage the boys to have a real shot at the Cup this year. These players have bought great credit to the club with their National Cup performances and now in the league they have shown how much they have developed in the last 2 years under the guidance of Ken McSweeney, Paul Lowth & Peter Hawkins. Under 16 National Cup (last 8) Kingdom Boys 1 Belvedere Boys 1 (Kingdom Boys win 5-4 on pens)

As the old song goes ‘’ the battle is over and the boys are defeated old Ireland surrounded with sadness and shame’’ NOT. It really reads ‘’THE BATTLE IS OVER AND THE BOYS ARE VICTORIOUS CAHERMONEEN IS SURROUNDED WITH SUNSHINE AND PRIDE’’.

Where do we begin Donegal in 05/06 Waterford in 06/07 Cork in 07/08 and at Home in 08/09 surely not another exit in 09/10 in the quarter final? This brilliant bunch of players and their families have flown the flag for Kerry soccer with pride and distinction all these years and have finally broke their duck and have qualified yes qualified for the last 4 of the illustrious competition.

Played in brilliant sunshine last Saturday in front of nearly 400 people this was to go down as one of the epic encounters ever played in Kerry. K Boys started on the back foot giving our visitors too much respect and space and paid the price when a high ball wasn’t dealt with and gave our excellent keeper Paul no chance 1-0 to Belvedere.

One would think that some teams would crumble but not this group led by the giant that he is Ian Mc Carthy. Boys went on to dominate the game from this juncture on and when the brilliant Bobby headed us level there was an air of confidence building up. With Paul excellent in goals all through (massive save in the second half) DC Ian Bobby and Coach stood firm. Gaz back to his busy self Totts probing the wings and the brilliant DOB and Uros in the middle. Adam showed his International class up front along with the hard working Sponge. David when introduced again was fantastic along with Seanie. Alan,Nonny, Donnacha, and Niall are all part of this brilliant squad.

The game finished level 1-1 A.ET. and we were down to the dreaded penalty shootout. Up stepped our famous 5 except we had no dog only Gaz, Adam, Uros, Ian and DOB with the final penalty to win it for K Boys. Paul saved the first which left it to DOB after all the others were converted but with nerves of steel he placed it to the corner and K Boys were in the last 4.

The scenes that greeted the winner will always remain special with tears in the eyes ‘’we have finally got the monkey off the back’’. I know it’s only the quarter final but our guys needed and deserved this so much after all the years of heartbreak. It’s onwards and upwards from here on and we await our semi final opponents and the hard work begins again. But we will enjoy this all be it for 24 hours or so. The one sour note on the say was the ignorance showed to the K Boys Management team by our visitors Management team who failed to shake hands with us at the finish. Belvedere Boys have and always will be a giant of schoolboy’s soccer but with people like that in charge one would have to re-think. One wonders if they had been beaten in the quarter final for the past 4 years what their re-action would be, God help us that’s all I can say.

Kingdom Boys B lost 3-4 today despite leading 2:0 at half time.Unfortunately Camp Juniors scored 2 quick goals at the start of the second half, but we still went ahead when Joel Vesey was pushed in the penalty area and spot kick was well taken by Gavin O'Brien. With 15min. left in the game we were still 3:2 up. Camp push hard from that point and got 2 goals to take all 3 points. Thanks to  good goalkeeping from Giles, very good defending from Robbie and Brandon and midfield dynamo  Joel Vesey we were unfortunate not to get at least a point from this game. Goal for Kingdom Boys: Wale Yusuf, Joel Vesey and Gavin O'Brien from penalty kick

Under 15 Cup Killarney Celtic 0 Kingdom Boys 4: This eagerly awaited Cup game turned out to be a bit of a one sided affair where Boys were in total control. In truth this game could have finished 7 or 8 such was the dominance of the away side. With Paul in goals continuing his form from the previous Sunday along with DC and with Gary and Donny pulling the strings in midfield for the hard working Seanie up front the Boys were back to their best. When Niall Sheehy headed home from a beautiful move involving DC Gary and Niall O’ Riordan the floodgates threatened to open. When Gary made it 2 with a thunderbolt of a left leg drive Celtic were out of the cup. Further goals from Seanie and the lively Killian totally finished off this polished performance and now Boys go forward to the last 8 and await the draw on this Thursday night.

Under 12 National Cup (Last 16) K Boys 0 Cherry Orchard 3: Boy’s epic journey in this seasons National Cup finished last Saturday in Cahermoneen at the hands of a quality Cherry Orchard outfit. In truth if Boys had taken the 2 gilt edge chances that they created in the opening 5 minutes this might have been a different result. The timing of the first goal 3 minutes before the break was the killer but what a finish by the impressive Orchard number 9. Boasting some quality players in their ranks the Orchard outfit went on to score 2 further goals and to be fair their strength and overall quality probably deserved it. Our players will have learnt a great lesson last Saturday and when you realise that you must reach this benchmark a lot of work and sacrifices need to be made. Well done to Ken Peter and Paul for the great work done and it’s now back to the cut and thrust of league and cup action. For action photos of this tie please go to the website www.traleedynamos.com.

Thanks: Big thanks to Colm, Chris and Noel for the organisation and refreshment for our visitors last Saturday. Special thanks to Cathy White for providing the scones and biscuits.

Under 11A Kenmare 2 Kingdom Boys 5:  After the long journey to new horizons, the boys having gone behind within ten minutes of play, grounded out a deserved victory thanks to two goals from new "million dollar" striker Jamie Leen, two from the ever consistent Rian O'Sullivan and of course one from Birthday Boy Darcy.

Not for the first time this season the defence still asleep gave away that early goal only to respond and score two, one of which was a cleverly worked sequence of passes, with Jamie leaving the keeper stuck to the line. However a lack of concentration left the Kenmare number eleven to beat a very consistent Shigun Duyile, who earlier had made the save that Edwin Van der sar would have been proud of. At the half it was two a piece.

From the whistle, led by Captain Fergal Ryan, the Boys' upped a gear and within minutes O'Sullivan had scored with a lobbing right legged shot, which from a natural left sided player shows that practise makes perfect. Again the Boys commanded the centre of the field with Stefan, Cian and Adam closing down and setting up the forwards to penetrate the last quarter of the field and the scoring of the two remaining goals was only a matter of time!

We thank a brave and sporting Kenmare team and manager Caroline for their gamesmanship and Hospitality.

So on we go to the top and with two games this coming week, a real view of the table will be evident by twelve noon on Saturday, and Yes we will be their to be counted!!!!

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Well done to Rian O'Sullivan of Kingdom Boys under 11's who made the "Kerry Schoolboys Team of the Week". Rian scored twice in his team’s away victory to Inter Kenmare.

Under 16 National Cup (Last 16) Cherry Orchard ( Dublin ) 0 Kingdom Boys 1

Pride of place this week goes to our under 16 team who qualified for the last 8 of the National Cup for the 5th year in row.

First of all let’s take this opportunity to thank all our wonderful supporters for their magnificent support in Dublin last Sunday. Out numbering and out shouting the home team one would think that we were the home team. Back to the action and again this team has proved to all other sides in Kerry and beyond that just because you mention the DDSL you are not beaten before the KO.

Boys showed on Sunday that if you work hard and apply yourself anything is possible. This surely is a record for Kerry schoolboys soccer last 8 for the 5th year in a row? This batch of players deserves great credit for flying the flag for the Kerry Schoolboys league and are tremendous ambassadors into the bargain.

Cherry Orchard welcomed us with open arms and are to be fair great hosts, but on the field of play things are always different. Paul White in goals had his best game since joining Boys and the confidence he oozed on the day transferred to all those in front of him. Shane Ian Bobby and DC defended like veterans Gaz, DOB Uros and Totts are a class apart in schoolboy’s soccer and with Sponge and Adam up front we will always score goals. David when introduced was magnificent and leaves the management team with headaches and Alan, Nonny, Donny, Niall and Wayne were a credit even though they got no playing time on this occasion. The first half was even enough with both sides sharing possession even though we slightly shaded the chances.

The second half began with Adam nearly scoring after 10 seconds and when the excellent Sponge did score an absolute cracker there was only going to be one winner Kingdom Boys AFC. We now look forward to a Quarter final yet again and this time welcome Belvedere Boys.

Team: Paul White, Shane Carey, Darragh Carmody, Ian McCarthy, Brendan Flavin, Scott Monaghan, Aaron Houlihan, Darra O'Brien, Uros Ivkovic, Darren O'Brien, Adam Piggott. Subs: David O'Sullivan for Aaron Houlihan, Alan Crean, Jonathon Hannafin, Donnagh McGarry,Wayne Duggan, Niall O'Riordan, Seanie Moloney.

Under 12 National Cup (Last 32) Kingdom Boys 3 Salthill ( Galway ) 2

Pride of place this week goes to our under 12A team who joined our Under 16’s in the last 16 of this seasons National Cup’s.

Where do we start Boys 2 down at half time, Salthill beat Trim Celtic 11 0 in the last round,  From a management/coaches perspective these are the days that all the slogging during winter is what its all about.

Boys started against what turned out to be an awkward enough wind and the more physical Salthill side soon had us on the back foot. Although always in the game we went dealt a sucker punch going in 2 down at half time the first a beautiful in swinging corner from the right and the other a well worked move finished clinically by the Salthill midfielder.

Boys started the second half bright and the third goal of this epic encounter was always going to be decisive. When it arrived through the cultured left foot of Kris Rodgers one could sense that there was only going to be one winner. When the elegant 11 year old Ferdia O’ Brien scored from an in direct free kick the massive crowd in attendance were dancing with delight.

All in attendance were expecting extra time however Joe Murphy had other plans and when he drilled his low shot into the corner of the Salthill net the place erupted. Seconds later the excellent Seamie O’ Mahony blew for full time and the plans were already in place to welcome Cherry Orchard. The journey continues for this wonderful bunch of players who are themselves creating another chapter of history for this fantastic club. The scenes of joy after the final whistle brought back memories of the St Kevin’s, St Joseph ’s Home Farm days of seasons gone by.

When all had settled down and all the plaudits were given out all the players deserve a mention from Jack in goals Darren (Captain Fantastic) Jack, Andrew, Kris, Joe, Thomas, Rian, Ferdia, Shane, Calvin and Eoin. All of the squad deserve a mention and the management team of Ken, Paul and Peter who themselves have developed this bunch into the new Dream Team?

Under 16 Kerry Cup Kingdom Boys 4 Fenit 1

Played earlier in the morning Boys beat a Gallant Fenit side 4 1 to reach the quarter final of the Tucker Kelly cup. Although Fenit took a shock 1 0 lead against the run of play Boys were always in control without getting out of 1st gear all morning. Goals from Darren O’ Brien (2) Darragh O’ Brien and Totts 1 each settled the game. Boys now look forward to next Sunday’s massive game V Cherry Orchard in the last 16 of the National Cup.

All at Kingdom Boys wish David Griffen (Fenit) a speedy recovery after he was injured in this match.

Under 12 League K Boys 1 K Athletic 4: A full report on this match can be viewed on the website www.traleedynamos.com. Boys will be disappointed with this result as they would have thought that they might have got a result in this one however Athletic didn’t read the script. It now up to the lads to rally the troops for the upcoming National Cup game.

Under 15 National Cup Clontarf 5 K Boys 0:After all the months of training, weeks of preparation and days and weeks of planning K Boys were undone by absolutely scandalous decisions. Football and the officials on duty have a duty of care to all concerned when they collect their fee and a certain amount of actually knowing the rules of the game are required, When one witnesses a linesman over ruling the referee I think no more needs to be said. The Officials on duty last Saturday in Clontarf should hang there heads in shame such was the disgraceful attitude to the travelling team. The display of discipline by our lads was a credit not only to their Club but to their families. This group of players and management will re group and take this forward as part of their development and rest assured this is far from over. A more in depth analysis of this game can be viewed on the website www.traleedynamos.com.

Kingdom Boys U12A’s 5 Killorglin U12A’s 0: On Thursday last Kingdom Boys got their season back on track with a five nil win over a gallant Killorglin side.  The Boys started well and had 3 very good chances in the first ten minutes, wing wizard Shane Lowth hit the post from just outside the box, while Kelvin Foley had one just wide and one great save by the Killorglin Keeper.  A breakthrough came ten minutes from half time when one of our best worked goals of the season.  Thomas Phelan played the ball through to Rian O Connor who in turn put the ball through for Shane down the wing, who took it down to the byline and put a great cross in for Kelvin Foley who could not miss from six yards out.

In the second half the Kingdom boys started quickly and had the Killorglin boys on the back foot.  Darren Sweeny slotted a great pass through for Rian to make it two nil.  The third goal came when Shane took on the Killorglin defense and put a great ball across the Killorglin box for Kelvin to pounce on.  Eoin Hennessey came on as a sub and made an immediate impact to get his first goal of the season to make it four nil.  Eoin made it five with a shot come cross slipped in to make it 5 nil.  Boys who stood out for Kingdom were Captain fantastic Darren Sweeney with his tackling and getting forward, Andrew Barry, Thomas Phelan, Richard Boyle, Shane Jinky Lowth and Joe Murphy.  A big thanks to Killorglin whose heads never went down and played the game the way the it should be played.

Under 11A Cherry Orchard 4 Kingdom Boys 2: Kingdom Boys adventure in this years National Cup came to an end in Dublin last Saturday where they went down 4 2 to the home side. Going in 2 1 down Boys had great hope however that dubious off side goal before the break was to tell in the finish. Shane Lowth and Dermot Maher were the Kingdom Boys scorers. A full report on this match can be viewed on the website www.traleedynamos.com

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Kingdom Boys under 11 defender Dara Walsh makes the Kerry Schoolboys "Team of the Week". Dara was a star performer in the teams excellent performance against Cherry Orchard in the National Cup. Well done Dara keep up the good work.

Last Saturday we had 3 teams in action and were victorious in 2

Under 12B League K Boys 6 Listowel Celtic 1: A man of the match performance from Dara Lowth cemented Boys position on top of the league. Played in Dynamos this side have been playing fantastic football all season under Adrian and Kieran. Goals from Mario Ziege (3) and one a piece for Eoin Edwards, Dara Lowth and Jamie Lee sets Boys up to capture our first piece of silverware this season.

Under 14 League K Boys 0 Killarney Athletic 3: Best said about this game the better for the Boys management team. Playing without 6 regulars this was always going to be a difficult game. Try as they might and going in 0 0 at half time Boys just ran out of players. Killian O’ Brien in goals had a great game and trying there best to rally the troops were Gary, Jared and Dylan. Boys will write this one off as a bad day at the office but a bigger commitment is required from those who only informed the manager on Friday night and in some cases on Saturday morning of there availability.

Under 16 League K Boys 7 Asdee 0: Boys were always too good for a gallant Asdee side when they met in Ard Na Li last Saturday morning. Playing without Adam and Bobby Boys demonstrated there strength in depth as those who fell in did absolutely fantastic. Goals by Uros (2) Sponge (2) DOB (1) Ian (1) and and OG helped us remain on top of the league unbeaten. This side is made up of tremendous talent and the future looks rosy as these players develop. Boys now look forward to a last 16 National Cup game away to either Cabinteeley or Cherry Orchard sometime in March.

Good Luck: To Gary O’ Neill, Darragh Carmody and Niall Sheehy who have gone to Ipswich and Man City on trial this past week. This only further demonstrates the development of our players when clubs of such high standard are looking at our talent.

Under Age National League: Great news for our players is the introduction of the above which commences in July 2010. This sends out signals of the seriousintent of our club to provide the pathway to top level National Football. This along with other new initiate will help develop players in ways never before seen in Kerry. Noel White will manage the Team and Tony O’ Neill, Tony Duggan along with others coach the team. The management team hope to finalize the backroom team in full in the coming weeks.

Under 11A League: K Boys 2 Park 0:  On a fresh, sunny, Saturday morning the Boys were warming up to face their Tralee rivals St.Brendan's Park in what was sure to be a Derby match to be remembered. Both sides needed points to strengthen their position on the table and that added even more to what was already at stake,” BRAGGING RIGHTS".

The game kicked off at half past ten and early on possession switched to one side of the field to another but it was the Park who had the first of the efforts ,and Kingdom Boys were lucky not to have conceded an early goal. Midway through the first half the Boys started to create chances to go ahead and it was Cian Twohig that put the home side in front, with a goal from a Ferdia O' Brien corner-kick.

At half time the Boys were one up and it looked like it was going to be a tight and exciting second half, and so it was. Both sides pushed for a goal and early in the second half Kingdom Boys coming close's to scoring and going two up, one of those a Rian O' Sullivan shot that was inches off target.

As the game went into the latter half of the half it was the Park who were pushing for an equaliser and when Carl Mullins for once got away from his marker and chipped over the very competent keeper and captain Jonathan Myers it had appeared that it was in but Man of the Match Conor Hurley somehow cleared it off the line.

Park pushed for a goal but Segun Duyile and Jack Heaslip continued to frustrate them, down the left flank with good tackling and man marking skills. With minutes left Kingdom Boys Full-back Patrick Kearney dribbled 50 odd yards up the wing and put the ball ahead of striker Fergal Ryan who slid the it under the stranded Park keeper and into the net. The referee blew for full time and it was Kingdom Boys who had won and up next for them is a tough trip to Dublin for a hard game against the famous Dublin side, Cherry Orchard.

Under 13 League: K Boys 2 Listowel Celtic 1 : Today in Ard Na Li Kingdom Boys u 13 played their second league game against Listowel in bright sunshine. Before we could name the team for this game we needed to find a goalkeeper as both our keepers were unable to play but showing the true spirit of this team Josh O’ Reilly who normally would play in centre mid field stepped up and stood in goals for his coaches and team mates and we would like to thank him for stepping forward. When the game started the Boys constantly put pressure on the Listowel backs and we had several chances with Shane Lowth coming close several times also Kieran Maher, Joseph Callaghan and Dylan O’Shea went close but to no avail. When Listowel had any attacks our back four of Daire Walsh, Brian O’Connell, Klaudio Dema and Timmy Murphy were well up to the challenge. One of their better players Adam was getting frustrated as Robert kept taking the ball off him which meant that the Listowel attacks were not happening as much as they would like. Our four midfield players Shane Lowth, Robert Mc Govern, Kevin O’Shea and Kieran Maher were well up for the game as passes from midfield released Shane who had several near misses before he scored the opening goal of the game. After the goal Listowel had a few chances but step in keeper Josh was well able to handle the shots that they got on target. At half time the score was one nil to us but it could have been more.

In the second half Dara Costello replaced Timmy Murphy and Sharif Griffin went on for Joseph   O’ Callaghan again there was some lovely passing movements from the midfield to the forwards again chances went a begging. Dylan O’ Shea who was playing upfront made some lovely passes to Shane.  As the game wore on we had several chances but to no avail. But we made a few more changes as Shane Healy came on for Kieran Maher and when we thought the second would never come it did  Shane  Healy passed the ball for Shane Lowth to score his second goal of the game by this time he could  have had a hatrick but two were enough. Again we brought on another two of the bench Stephen Birmingham and Kevin Dolan came on as Dylan O’ Shea and Kevin O’ Shea went off. With only a few minutes to go Listowel scored after Josh was tackled but the ref played on and Listowel scored.  Josh got injured in the tackle and had to be carried off and Klaudio put on the keepers jersey but the game was over a minute later. It was a well deserved victory. Man of the Match was Shane Lowth. We would like to thank our supporters including Sean Ryan who is out injured.  And we would also like to thank Paul, Adrian’s keeper for turning up.

Team : Josh O’Reilly, Daire Walsh, Brian O’ Connell,  Klaudio Dema,  Timmy Murphy,  Shane Lowth, Robert Mc Govern, Kevin O’Shea (captain), Kieran Maher,  Joseph O’ Callaghan and Dylan O’Shea.

Subs:  Kevin Dolan, Dara Costello,  Stephen Birmingham, Sharif Griffin , Shane Healy and Marcus Sugrue.

Under 16 National Cup: Swilly Rovers (Donegal) 1 Kingdom Boys 2: Kingdom Boy travelled to Donegal full of confidence and ready to avenge their last trip of 4 years ago.

Starting brightly Boys completely dominated the opening half with Paul totally commanding his area and the back four of Darragh Ian Bobby and Coach faultless. With Uros and DOB displaying quality football beyond their years the foundations were laid. Gaz and Totts constantly putting the fullbacks under pressure and the excellent Sponge and Adam were back to their best.

Having dominated the early proceedings a goal was required and when Gaz went down the right his cross was picked up by Adam who set up the excellent Ivkovic who lashed a 25 yard strike to the top of the net. The large crowd in attendance applauded this excellent strike and well it was deserved.

The Rovers keeper had made an absolutely world class save before that so this was a strike of perfection. When the impressive Sponge struck for the second this time from a cross from Totts Boys were well in control.

Starting the second half a bit cautious Boys paid the price when a mix up gave Swilly a penalty 20 mins in. They stuck it and at that stage it was game on, however Boys showed true character and the excellent Piggott was a constant threat and with more protection would have got at least 5 blatant free kicks.

When Seanie was introduced for Sponge in the latter stages Boys were again on top and indeed only for a last gasp clearance Seanie was in for goal number 3.

Overall Boys were the better side but when you travel nearly 9 hours to play 80 mins of football the whole squad deserve great credit. A special thanks to all who travelled and gave the lads great support throughout the entire game. This in itself shows how dear a club K Boys are to the adoring parents.

Special thanks to the Management of Swilly Rovers for their hospitality before and after the game. Boys now look forward to a last 16 meeting away to Cherry Orchard with no fear what so ever.

Thanks : Special thanks to Simon Jones for his brilliant patience and professionalism over the week-end. For those of you who know Simon he only knows one way to do things and that’s 100%.

New Reporter: Ed (Aka Paul Williams) O’ Brien will have a special debut report on this game on the website.

Team of the week : We had 2 defenders on the Kerry Schoolboys League " Team of the Week". Well done to centre back Conor Hurley of our Under 11 team who made sure that bragging rights in Tralee belonged to Kingdom Boys with a win over the Park on a score line of 2 - 0. Shane Lowth who plays left back with our Under 13 also made team of the week and was voted man of the match in our win over Listowel Celtic. Well done to both players and keep up the good work.

Under Age National League: Great news for our players is the introduction of the above which commences in July 2010. This sends out signals of the serious intent of our club to provide the pathway to top level National Football. This along with other new initiate will help develop players in ways never before seen in Kerry. Noel White will manage the Team and Tony O’ Neill, Tony Duggan along with others coach the team. 31/01/2010

Last Saturday we had four teams in action 1 in the National Cup and 3 in the League.

Kingdom Boys now have 4 teams in the last 32 of the National Cup competitions. Our 15’s were victorious over Home Farm at the week-end and joined our 11’s, 12’s and 16’s in the last 32. Not many Clubs can claim this.

Under 12A League: Killarney Athletic 2 Kingdom Boys 0

Played in Killarney last Saturday Boys produced some lovely football however the strength of our opponents was to be our undoing. After totally dominating the first half exchanges they were really unlucky to go in at the break 1 down when they conceded from a corner. After the re-start they again went on to dominate however a lapse in defence left in Athletic for the second and crucial goal to give all 3 points to the home side. Ken Paul and Peter made some changes in personnel and positional changes when Rian went to the wing Joe into the middle and Shane up front. The balance of this side is good and their development is coming along nicely and augurs well for the future. Jack in goals did very well and couldn’t be faulted for either of the goals Darren, Diarmud, Andrew and Chris were solid through out with Ferdia and Joe in total control in the middle. Rian and Fergal were a constant threat on the flanks and Shane and Calvin will score goals. The development of these players and all the age groups is what is important and the score line is only a bonus. Keep up the good work lads.

Under 12B League: Mastergeeha 2 Kingdom Boys 2

A last minute goal from the home side eventually beat the excellent Paul Lynch in goals gave our lads a share of the spoils. Goals from Jack O’ Shea from the penalty spot and Eoin Edwards were on the mark for Boys. This side are certainly producing some excellent results and the great work of Adrian and Kieran is certainly paying of.

Under 16 League: Kingdom Boys 9 Dingle 0

This game was played on Sunday morning and resulted in a resounding victory for the home side. Playing without some regulars Boys raced into a formidable lead at the break and it didn’t stop there. With 4 from Adam 2 from Seanie 1 each from Sponge Tots and Bobby Boys were just too good for our visitors who in fairness were game throughout. Indeed Dingle’s keeper can be well please with his shift. Boys now go on to next week-ends crucial game away to Swilly Rovers in the last 32 of the National Cup.

Under 15 National Cup: Kingdom Boys 1 Home Farm 0

Well we did say it and told you Boys would not fear our opponents and fear they did not. Straight out of the blocks with pride passion and desire in their bellies our Boys wrote another fantastic chapter in what is the Kingdom Boys story. In years gone by we would have been beaten when the draw was made but such is the level of professionalism now in our club that is not the case anymore (thank God). Colm and Adrian had there homework done on our illustrious visitors and although at time’s it wasn’t for the purest the battle that was witnessed was fantastic fare for the large attendance that took the time out to see this fantastic bunch of players. Boys after the first 10 minutes went on to dominate the proceedings and when Niall Sheehy’s brilliant header hit the roof of the net the roar that was heard laid the foundations for the rest of the day. Paul in goals was dominant throughout and his early releases to the hard working Seanie and Nigel totally caught the away defence off guard. Jared, Gearoid, Darragh and Nonny worked hard all day as did the midfield of Niall, Gary, Donnacha and Niall. Wayne when introduced put a great effort in and indeed. Boys could afford the luxury of a missed penalty and if you took into consideration the number of chances all day Boys would have won a lot easier. When the dust had settled and the passion tamed Boys can now look forward to Clontarf in the last 32 of the National Cup.

Under 19 National League: Great news for our players is the introduction of the above which commences in July 2010. This sends out signals of the serious intent of our club to provide the pathway to top level National Football. This along with other new initiate will help develop players in ways never before seen in Kerry. Noel White will manage the Team and Tony O’ Neill, Tony Duggan along with others coach the team. The management team hope to finalize the backroom team in full in the coming weeks.

24/01/2010

Last Saturday we had four teams in action 2 in the National Cup and 2 in the League.

Under 11A League: Killarney Celtic 2 Kingdom Boys 3

The phone was "hopping" early on frosty morning, the enthusiastic young players "raring to go" is the game still on? It was and didn't they go! Within four minutes and on the second attack, the ball was in the net. A pass to Rian O' Sullivan, who scalded the right-back all morning, a nice pass to the head of Darcy Pototzki who left the goalkeeper stuck to his line, with a dripping net behind him.

The Boys controlled the centre of the park, creating a succession of chances. Killarney defended well but could not get the ball to their main man who was conclusively marked by Cian Twohig. The second half started with Killarney driving forward but Conor Hurley kept the backline intact and Goalkeeper Appleby made a fantastic save to see off the best that the opposition could muster.

Then a quick string of passes, out to Darcy, a first time cross and a superb "flash shot" by Fergal Ryan, a possible goal of the season! Killarney immediately changed tactics putting another man up front and began to use a different line of supply. Pressure was mounting, again a great save by a brave Giles Appleby, a succession of corners, but then a quick break up the centre by Ferdia O' Brien, a great pass to well positioned O' Sullivan whose shot was parried by the Celtic goalkeeper and into the net.

At that Killarney came back and scored from after a clever through pass. Both teams reconstructed their centre field, a tired Stefan Okunbor who had worked endlessly was replaced by fellow midfielder Segun Duyile, while Killarney put two fresh attackers on and within minutes had pulled another back.

But it was too late and the spoils went to the visitors who had displayed a fantastic team performance. This result however has opened up the League and guess what? - The Boys are back in town!

Well done to Cian Twohig of Kingdom Boys u-11's who made the "Kerry Schoolboys League" team of the week. Cian helped his team to an excellent win over table toppers Killarney Celtic

UNDER 13 NATIONAL CUP: Templemore 3 Kingdom Boys 1

Saturday Kingdom Boys u 13 travelled to  Tipperary to play Templemore in a replay of the third round clash in the National Cup. When we arrived the weather conditions were not great as there was a heavy fog hanging over the pitch. When the game kicked off the fog started to get worse but the game continued.  In the first few minutes they scored a goal but after that we started to play and had several chances with Sean Ryan tormenting their defenders and Kieran Maher and Shane Lowth  testing their keeper it was only a matter of time before we equalised. But before the equaliser came our left back Timmy Murphy received a heavy tackle and had to be substituted after 10 minutes his replacement Cahill Lehane came on and he scored the equaliser but Templemore were intent in stopping us play to our abilities by fouling our players. Before half time Cahill received a heavy tackle also and had to be replaced at half time.

Kevin O’Shea came on in the second half to replace Cahill. In the second half Templemore had a few attacks but our defenders Robert McGovern, Claudio Dema, Thomas Phelan and Daire Walsh were well able to cope. Claudio and Thomas received heavy tackles but played on showing true spirit. Dylan O’Shea came on up front to replace Kieran Maher. Josh O’Reilly who was playing in mid-field and was having a great game had to go off due to another bad tackle and was replaced by Stephen Birmingham.  Daire and Sean combined well on the right side of the field but every time Sean attacked he was brought down and the Templemore supporters cheered every time this happened.   The Referee was not very fair in his decisions for Kingdom Boys. But when Robert tackled one of their players he cautioned him. Also when we asked for support he threatened to send one of our supporters off.  With five minutes left it looked like it was going to extra time but we gave away a corner and Templemore scored. Soon after while we were trying for the equaliser they broke and Derek Horgan got to the ball but impeded the player and the Ref gave Templemore a penalty. Which Derek saved. Again while we were attacking they broke and Sean Ryan won the ball back but got tackled from both sides and while he was down the linesman flagged but the Ref let play go on and Robert tackled a Templemore player outside the box but showing Templemore’s fair play he dived into the box and the Ref awarded another penalty to Templemore. When we approached the Ref about Sean’s tackle and why he had not stopped play when the flag was up, he told us it had nothing to do with him. We had to carry Sean off the field before they took the penalty and replaced by Kevin Dolan. Templemore scored the penalty.  Game over 3-1 to Templemore.

We had intended to play our second goalkeeper Cillian O’Brien in the second half but due to unforeseen injuries to our outfield players we were unable to change keeper.

We would like to thank all our players for rising above the intimidating atmosphere and showing their true spirit for the game and supporters for travelling.

As an aside we feel that the atmosphere and unsportsman like attitude from the Templemore supporters and players was not acceptable at this age level. It is not appropriate to cheer for a player being  brought down.

Man of the Match was Sean Ryan.

Team:   Derek Horgan(Keeper), Robert McGovern, Thomas Phelan, Caudio Dema, Daire Walsh (Captain) Timmy Murphy, Brian O’Connell, Josh O’Reilly, Sean Ryan, Kieran Maher, Shane Lowth – Subs: Dylan O’Shea, Kevin O’Shea, Cahill  Lehane, Stephen Birmingham, Kevin Dolan (Supersub), Joseph Callaghan and Cillan O’Brien (Keeper)

Under 11B League: Fenit 7 Kingdom Boys 0 Fenit also added three points to their total and are now on six following their 7-0 win over Kingdom Boys. Fenit had seven different scorers – Bobby Ryan, John Lenihan, Sam Higgins, Alex McElligott, PJ McCarthy, Oisin O’Brien and Jack McCarthy.

Under 13 National Cup:  Templemore 3 K ingdom Boys 1 Unfortunately the Kingdom Boys Under 13 side’s National Cup campaign is over, going down 3-1 in Templemore. Cathal Ryan scored for Kingdom Boys.

Under 16 National Cup: Kingdom Boys 3 Corbally 1 Played in ideal conditions on a beautiful surface Boys advanced to the last 32 as they have done in the last 4 years. This was a top quality game with both sides intent on playing fast flowing football. With an away trip to Donegal as the main prize both sides set out to capture this from the very start. Boys were fast out of the blocks and after a break down the right which left Adam slipping in Sponge who finished clinically putting us 1 up. Boys went on to dominate the first half and again through Sponge we scored again. HT 2 0. Corbally certainly raised there game in the second half and scored from a free kick to bring it back to 2 1 however we scored again through Adam to run out 3 1 winners and a trip away to Swilly Rovers in Donegal in the last 32. This game could be best described as a game of 2 halves we were very good in the first and average in the second. We will certainly have to up our game in Donegal if we are to be successful and remain in the competition. Squad Paul David Ian Bobby Coach Gaz DOB Uros Scott Adam Sponge DC Alan Ryan Nonny Niall Donnacha.

With their last 32 game coming up in the National Cup they will need to re group and get back to the wining streak of 2009.

Under 12B League: Kingdom Boys B 3 Killorglin B 1

Kingdom Boys B win their 4th game in a row to consolidate their position at the top of the table. Scorers for Kingdom Boys Sean Field, Aaron O’Keeffe and Darren Bastible got the goals.

Under 16 League: K Boys 5 Park 0

This was the game of cracking goals and it would be hard to separate between Scott, Ian and Adams crackers. Played in the all weather in Tralee IT this up to half time was an even encounter. However when Boys went 2 up it was game over and they ran out easy winners in the finish. To be fair to Park and there new management team of Eddie and Dowie they played until the death and can look forward to a semi final slot later in the season. Boys now look forward to their last 64 game next Saturday in Cahermoneen against Corbally which will be a lot sterner test.

Under 15 National Cup: Rathkeale 1 K Boys 3

This eagerly awaited National Cup game took place last Saturday at sun drenched Rathkeale. Boy’ took the game to the home side from the start with Seanie and Nigel causing all sorts of problems up front Gary and Darragh dominating mid-field Nonny and Niall penetrating the flanks and Gearoid, Michael, Jared, Donnacha and custodian Paul mean in defence the foundation was laid. Boys took a two goal lead through Seanie and then conceded a sloppy penalty to give Rathkeale a lifeline when we were totally in control. Some amazing decisions to say the least followed before Boys got the vital third through Nigel to set up a plumb home last 36 tie against Home Farm. Colm and Adrian introduced Niall, Arjent and Wayne and will go into this encounter full of confidence and wont in any way fear Home Farm.

Well done to Scott Monaghan who made Kerry Schoolboys "Team of the Week" Scott is a very impressive winger who also attends the F.A.I. Regional Academy .

13/12/2009

Last Saturday we had 3 teams in action and 2 were victorious.

Under 12A National Cup: K Boys 5 Regional 0 A hat trick from Calvin and 1 each from Joe and Rian meant that K Boys under 12's are now into the last 32 of the National Cup.Played in the IT last week-end the strides that this team have made is remarkable. Playing football beyond their tender years Boys were 2 up within 5 minutes through the deadly lethal Calvin and when Joe after a mazy dribble and Rian with a beautiful lob got the other 2 Boys were 4 up at the break. In the second half Boys probably played better football against the strong wind that ran down the middle of the pitch. When Calvin got his hat trick after a flowing move ther was no way back for our visitors. Great credit is due to Ken Paul and Peter for the way this team is prepared and with training on Stephens day planned there will be no rest. Rest assured the lads will enjoy the festive period with a plum draw waiting them in the last 32.

Under 12B Listowel 2 K Boys 8

A more indepth report on this game can be got on the website. www.traleedynamos,com

Under 14 K Celtic 3 K Boys 1 Having trailed 1 nil at the break, Boys through a peach from Nick Renardson levelled matters in the second half only to lose out at the death. Playing without some regulars Pa must be commended for actually playing when others would have looked to have there game called off. With 8 games to go and the majority at home Boys will have a big say as to how this title will be decided. With an impressive Christmas training schedule planned this team of players will move on from this defeat.

Fixtures: Next Saturday is the turn of the uneven age groups so please check with your Coach to see if you have any fixture.

We had 4 teams on duty last weekend 2 in the National Cup and 2 in the league. We were victorious in 1 of each although the U13 National Cup game will have to be decided by the SFAI. Great credit is due to all players, coaches, parents, guardians and supporters for braving the elements such was the atrocious conditions that prevailed.

UNDER 11 DIVISION 1 NORTH: KINGDOM BOYS 2 KILLORGLIN B 7
Goal scorers for Kingdom Boys: Gavin O'Brien and Joel Vesey

Team: Ahmed Tariq, Brandon Patterson, Robbie Murphy, Sean O'Mahoney, Tomas Leen, Joel Vesey(C), Cian Liston, Roland Darvas, Gavin Everett, Keelan Pierce, Gavin O'Brien, Subs: Nicky O'Halloran, Sam O'Callaghan

UNDER 11 NATIONAL CUP: Kingdom Boys 8 Ballynanty (Limerick)  0 On a wet and windy afternoon on the all weather facility at the North Campus Kingdom Boys Under 11's put an end to Ballynanty's Rovers of Limerick's dream of winning the national cup with an awe inspiring performance, that ended in a decisive 7-0 win for the lads.

Within 10 minutes two goals from Darcy Pototzi, who controlled the right wing, and captain Ferdia O'Brien set the trend. Both repeated their efforts and at half time it was 4-0. The Boys were in total control and this in no part to the skill of Rian O'Sullivan, who made his competitive debut and went on to score a fine goal.

Ferdia O'Brien proceeded to dominate the midfield with Stefan Okunbar and later scored a third to gain a hat trick. The back line stood firm and goal keeper Appleby was only called on to make one safe of any note. A late goal by an adventurous Jack Heaslip sealed a well deserved win. Hopefully the result will kickstart their seaseon and bring the team's true potential to show. After lots of deliberations it was decided that the man of the match award should be given to the 'left outside' , the guy in the green coat and peak cap!

UNDER 13 NATIONAL CUP: Kingdom Boys 0 Templemore (Tipperary) 0 Templemore won on penalties. Unfortunately this one will have to be deferred to the SFAI as no extra time was played. For a more indepth report on this game please check the website.

UNDER 15 PREMIER: Killarney Celtic 1 Kingdom Boys 2  K Boys travelled to Killarney for this top of the table clash with their nearest suitors Celtic and arrived to a complete downpour which never ceased for the entire game. Two fantastic strikes from Niall O' Riordan sealed the deal for Boys. The beauty of the game showed that this side can battle as well as play complete football. Nice to see Seanie back in te fold again. More in depth report can be obtained from the website.Well done to Niall O'Riordan who's brace of goals against Killarney Celtic gave his team all 3 points in their top of the table clash. Niall's excellent performance and goals guaranteed him a place on the Kerry Schoolboys League "Team of the Week" Well done Niall.

28/11/2009

Where do we begin? What a fantastic week-end starting off with the Tralee Dynamos/K Boys social and finishing off with K Boys annual awards night. Then in between there was the little matter of yet another Kingdom Boys player (Gary O' Neill) being called up to the Irish Under 15 squad to travel to Qatar and league and National Cup action. It certainly was a week-end to remember.

Tralee Dynamos/K Boys social:  Last Friday night in the Brandon Hotel over 170 people partied the night away in what was an absolutely fantastic social. With special guests John Delaney and Ray Houghton in attendance this was in some commentator’s words a Cracker! Special praise must go to the organisers of the event as everything went to perfection. John and Ray entertained the crowd with stories of old and with Brian Fitzgerald and Jamie Mc Intyre receiving players of the year awards the night was a spectacular show of unity by Dynamos and K Boys. Gary, Jared, Uros, Adam and Gaz also got in on the act as they also received an award for International recognition. Tony O' Neill also received an award for long service to K Boys. As the night grew old the party continued and a fantastic night was had by all. John Delaney was high in his praise for Dynamos efforts in their debut campaign in the A Championship and with the introduction of the Under 19 Championship hopes are high that Dynamos will enter. Well done to Noel whose dinner was interrupted when he had to go and rescue Ray Houghton who received a Garda escort to the function. These little things sometimes go unnoticed.

K Boys Awards Night 2008/09: Another spectacular night was had in the Brandon on Saturday last when K Boys hosted their long awaited presentation night. A large crowd gathered for the eagerly awaited presentation of trophies and special awards. President Kieran Moriarty opened the event and thanked all for attending and hoped that an effort would commence for K Boys to eventually be awarded the opportunity to own their own patch of land. He thanked all the coaches’ parents’ players for their efforts and concluded with a promise of great things in the future. With the trophies to be presented the night began. The following were the recipients of the awards on the night.

This year K Boys special guests were ex players James Sugrue, Stephie Mahoney, Chris Kerins, Jamie Mc Intyre, Audie Dunlea and Luke Dunlea. Brian Mc Carthy one of the founder members of K Boys was our guest speaker on the night and Brian as always spoke highly of what K Boys stands for and the immense affect we have on the local and National stage. Brian spoke of the effect K Boys had on the emergence of talent and in 10 years K boys have produced over 100 International Caps where as in the 15 years previous only 1 cap was achieved by other clubs in Kerry. A special award (Framed original of the first K Boys jersey) was presented to our long serving chairman Chris Kerins. Tony O' Neill spoke of how much our club owed to this great man as only for Chris we would never have kicked off and never have been so successful.

Special thanks to Denis in the Brandon to Ken for organising to Simon and Paddy for sponsoring some trophies to Paul and Mickey Fish for the soft drinks and crisps to all the players, coaches, parents , wives, girlfriends,Dynamos, residents of Ard Na Li,KSL,Referes association,Paul in Tralee IT,Journalists and our fantastic committee.

So after 10 years on the road and bags of trophies and awards we now move on to the unified club of Dynamos/K Boys and the promise of great things in the future.

Congratulations: Well done to Gary O' Neill K. Boys excellent midfielder whose talent has been recognised on the National stage with a call up to the Under 15 International squad. This squad will travel to Qatar on December 11th and play 2 International matches before returning home 10 days later. Gary joins the ever growing list of players from K Boys to represent his country. Well done to all Gary 's coaches who can stand tall after this achievement.

Under 12 National Cup: K Boys 2 Herbertstown 1 (AET): Played in Tralee IT All weather pitch on Saturday last this eagerly awaited Cup match was indeed well worth the wait. This squad of players have developed nicely and with the continued efforts of Ken, Paul and Peter the future looks increasingly bright for this group. Playing against a very physical away side K Boys started brightly and controlled the game in midfield and with Ferdia in top form and the defence of Darren, Andrew and Richie in top form the foundations were indeed laid. It took a few interceptions by Keeper Jack Carmody to twart our visitors few advances. With Calvin and Reen causing problems it was Calvin who reacted to a loose ball which was spilled by the away keeper and Boys were one up. This guy must surely be in the frame for a county call up. Boys controlled the game from here on but as the old saying goes ''it aint over till the final whistle'' Boys were dealt a cruel blow when our visitors scored with the very last attack in normal time. So on to Extra time and again Calvin came to the rescue with his 5th goal in two matches to send Boys to the next round. Well done to all concerned and a fabulous squad effort. The success of any team is in the squad and indeed this was the case on Saturday.

Under 16 National Cup:  K Boys 5 Kilmallock 1 Played directly after the 12's match Boys again without some regulars entered the fray against our Limerick county visitors. Starting sloppy it took at least 20 minutes before we got our game going and when Adam scored to settle the nerves we never looked back. Further goals from Bobby,Sponge,Scott and Ian  we ran out comfortable winners. Fantastic displays from Paul,Bobby Ian and Pat laid the foundations for this win. So it's onwards and upwards from here and another Home draw V Corbally. Squad Paul,Pat,Ian,Bobby,DC,Gaz,Dave,Uros,Scott,Adam,Sponge,Gary,Nonny,Ryan.

Under 14 League: Castleisland 5 K Boys 4 Heartbreaking for Boys as they came from 4 1 down  to lose 5 4 away to Island last Saturday. Goals from Dylan,Matt,Jared and Brian were not enough and Boys fell to their first defeat of the season.Pa will have learned a lot from this defeat and will hope that all the problems can be rectified on the training pitch.

Girls Soccer: Great news on the ladies side of the club as we have now secured a ladies coach to help with the training. Further news of this will be posted on the website in the coming week and we hope to commence this training initially on Friday Nights. To keep updated on this keep checking the website www.traleedynamos.com

John Delaney: Great credit is due to John Delaney who whilst in Europe on Friday returned to Ireland late on Friday evening and drove to Tralee to join in the Dynamos/K Boys social. If this wasn't enough he then joined up to celebrate our Under 12's win in the National Cup on Saturday morning. Many thanks to Noel for organising this as this was a lovely treat for our young players. How many CEO's do you know who would do this?? I know?none.

As we continue to look back over the last 10 years of our short but successfull tenure in Schoolboys soccer, we look to remember some of the individuals who have made this such a fasinating story. People such as Ken Sweeney, Paul Lowth, Peter Hawkins, Pat O' Connell, Joe Reilly ,Pa Cunningham, Pa Reidy,Tony Everet,Jamie Wren, Jimmy Wren,Adrian O'Shea,Kieran, Miah Lynch, Tony Duggan. Club History: As we continue to look back over the last 10 years of our short but successfull tenure in Schoolboys soccer, we look to remember some of the players and individuals who have made this such a fasinating story. K Boys were first in setting up Academies and with Alan Mc Govern, John Lenihan work started every Saturday morning and along with Tony O' Neill these guys set about creating a different culture which would bear fruits in years to come. Along came Colm Dunlea, Miah, Ken Robinson, Redmond and all were to play a significant role in player development in the years ahead. When K Boys obtained individuals such as Rena Powell and Lorainne Mc Intyre our administration work was in safe hands. Such people are hard to get nowadays. Players come and go and head in different directions but one such great story is Graham Dunlea whose time with us was a joy, such a great character and when Graham turned a Pro Golfer it was brilliant for all concerned.  Players such as David Rodgers, Jason Quirke, Sean Slattery, Mark Renardson, Jamie Kelly, Damien Quirke, Theo Diggins, Darren Dennehy, Colm Kirby, Stephen Mc Carthy ansd Luke Burgess our talent was starting to revolve.

Club History: As we continue to look back over the last 10 years of our short but successfull tenure in Schoolboys soccer, we look to remember some of the players and individuals who have made this such a fasinating story. Kingdom Boys laid the foundations in terms development and in players like David Hennessy, Chris Kerins, Stevie O' Mahony, Adam Renardson, Danny Carroll, Gordon Kerins, Paul Walsh, Stephen O' Sullivan, David Moore, Billy Dennehy, David Flaherty, Sean Gazza Kelly, Mikey Bowler, Giles O' Grady, Peter Mc Carthy, James Sugrue, Anthony Murphy, Paul English, Dan O'Connor, Shane Gutrie, Colin O' Connor, Kieran Scannell, Kevin Slattery, Martin Bowler, Paul Heaslip, Adam Moore, the quality above says it all. I'm sure there are some players in the early stages that haven't been mentioned but over the coming weeks they certainly will be. When you consider that some of the above named players have played at the highest level in domestic football and some have tasted football in England the ingredients of this Club is based on Development of young footballers.

Social/Awards Night: As part of our 10 year celebrations we will be holding a social with our senior club Tralee Dynamos on Friday 27th of November in the Mount Brandon Hotel. Tickets are available so please contact any club officer and they will organise same. Tickets cost 45 and we would urge all parents/players to support this venture and celebrate with us in style. John Delaney and Ray Houghton and Special Guests will be in attendance.

Our 2008/09 Awards night will hopefully be held on Saturday 29th with Special Guest's in attendance. It's 10 years since the foundation of our Club so it is hoped that we will celebrate this year with as many of our previous players as possible. Last Years show with Ronnie Whelan was special so hopefully this years will go one better.

Last Saturday the weather was the winner when only one of our three fixtures went ahead.

Under 15 National Cup:  K Boys 9 Granagh 2 Many thanks to Paul Cunningham and Tralee IT for facilitating our Under 15's last saturday to host this important game. Boys went in front as early as 30 seconds when Gary (Fabregas) played in Nonny (Duff) to set up Wayne (Henry) for a cracking opener. This laid the foundations for total dominance and when Nigel (2) and Wayne (2) again scored it was 5 1 at the break. Gary scored a beauty from 25 yards and DC (Van Persie) (2)and Wayne with his fourth Boys ran out easy winners. Without Seanie, Michael and Donnacha this was an impressive win however Colm and Adrian will know that tougher tests lie ahead, Team Paul, Mike, Jared, Gearoid, Arjent, Niall, Gary, Darragh, Nonny, Wayne and Nigel, Subs Killian and Dylan.

31/10/2009

Club History: 1O years ago a group of people decided to form a dedicated schoolboy club which would cater for not only the youth of Tralee but Kerry as a whole. Little did those people know that 10 years down the line so much would be achieved. Years ago Kerry teams playing their illustrious opponents in Dublin and others would be beaten before any kick off however all that has changed and through those people in K Boys and their vision and pro-active approach the process began. Kingdom Boys have done so much for the development of the youth and it's fantastic to see that still to-day so many of those players are still playing at some grade. We still have players playing in England and in the highest level of soccer domestically to boot. With so many players having represented their county/country at several different age groups we have gone from strength to strength and will continue to do so. This week we begin to salute individuals and over the next few weeks we hope to recognise all those people. Chris Kerins, Ger O' Mahony, Steve Renardson, Kerry Renardson, Brian Mc Carthy, Tony O' Neill, Pat O' Sullivan, Tom Spillane, Willie Dennehy, Francie Slattery, Colm Dunlea, Redmond Powell many more will be mentioned over the coming weeks along with all the players.

Social: As part of our 10 year celebrations we will be holding a social with our senior club Tralee Dynamos on Friday 27th of November in the Mount Brandon Hotel. Tickets for same will be available at the Club house in Cahermoneen next Saturday before or during the U15 National Cup game. Tickets cost €45 and we would urge all parents players to support this venture and celebrate with us in style. John Delaney and Ray Houghton and Special Guests will be in attendance.  Our 2008/09 Awards night will hopefully be held on Saturday 29th with another Special Guest in attendance. Last Years show with Ronnie Whelan was special so hopefully this years will go one better.

Back to the even age groups last Saturday and we were in action with 2 league games and 1 National Cup game.

Under 16 League: K Boys 7 Fenit 0 Played on a wonderful surface in Ard Na Li, Boys again without some regulars were much too strong for a gallant Fenit side. A hat trick from Uros Ivkovis and 1 a piece from David (Messi totti beckford) O' Sullivan, Bobby, Sponge and Totts sealed the 3 points for Boys. Bobby's goal was the pick as he bagan the move at C Half and continued his run before delivering a beautiful lob over the despairing Fenit keeper. Fantastic displays from Bobby, DOB, Twinkle toes Gaz and Uros. Team Paul, Ryan, Bobby, Alan, Coach, Gaz, DOB, Totti, Totts, Sponge and Uros, DC, Nonny and Niall. Great to see so many spectators in attendance in Ard Na li last Saturday.

Under 14 League: Park 0 K Boys 9 Hat Tricks from Dylan Flynn and Sean Ryan and 1 a piece from Danny, Jared and an absolute screamer from Brian (Rooney) Kerins sealed all 3 points for Pa and Alan's charges. They now go to the top of the table and will hope to remain there.

Under 12 National Cup K Boys 3 Summerville 1 Played in Cahermoneen Boys through a hat trick from the impressive Calvin Foley go through to the next round which is again at home to Herbertstown. Leading 2 0 at half time summerville got 1 back but a brilliant move starting with Darren Sweeney to Ferdia O' Brien who played a beautiful pass to Shane Lowth who in turn set up Calvin to get that vital 4th goal. This team had a bad day at the office 2 weeks ago so Ken, Peter and Paul worked hard on the training pitch and with a bit of surgery have transformed this side to a more balanced unit.

OK he didn't win it and didn't do the time above but when you consider that he is after a kidney transplant great credit is due to our Under 13 Manager.

Q - What club does Shay Given play for?

24/10/2009

Last Saturday we had a return to the un-even age groups with league games for our Under 11's and 15's and National Cup for the 13's.

Under 11 League: K Boys 2 Inter Kenmare 2 Our under 11's played out a thrilling 2 2 draw with Kenmare at a drenched Cahermoneen last Saturday. Full report on the website

Under 15 League: Immmediately after our Under 11's it was the turn of water polo for our Under 15's. Great credit must be given to both sides for even togging out last Saturday such was the appalling conditions. Boys started bright with the aid of a strong breeze and scored through Nigel but following a mix up in defence Kenmare equalised to leave it 1 1 at the break. A few strong words from Colm and Adrian at half time re focused the boys and we went on to score 2 further goals from Nigel and Wayne to run out comfortable winners on a 3 1 scoreline.

Under 13 National Cup: Killorglin 1 K Boys 3 Kingdom Boys U13 team travelled  away to Killorglin for the First Round  in the National Cup.  When they arrived the conditions were extreme- high winds and lashing rain. Even though the conditions were bad the Boys togged out for this game. In the first half the Boys were always on top with the defenders  - Klaudio, Daire, Kevin and Timmy  dealing with any chance that Killorglin had .Also the Goalie Cillian was dealing with the few chances that Killorglin had. Through the centre field pairing of Brian and Sean who were a constant threat to Killorglin backs. The boys had a lot of chances in the first half with players Robert , Shane,Rian and Darren but the wind kept blowing the ball all over the place. Finally they got their just rewards when Brian played a through ball to Shane and he scored the first goal but soon after  our captain and right back Daire  picked up and injury and we had to  play the last 7 minutes of the first half with 10 men. In the second half Marcus came on for Daire. Then Darren had to come off and Dylan replaced him the team that started had to constantly change it seemed to be going bad for the boys when Kevin also got injured and Kieran came on to replace him. The boys were always on top in the second half when the final substitute was made a straight swap  Joseph for shane. Killorglin pushed and got their rewards when they scored with 2 minutes to go it was looking like extra time was on the card until the boys broke from defence and scored a second through Joseph and soon after Kieran scored a third which made the final score 3-1 to Kingdom Boys. This game showed how versatile these young  players are when Robert had to play in 4 different positions and Brian and Kevin in 2. Overall it was a game which they deserved to win .We would have to give the man of the match to the entire team who showed sheer determination in the adverse weather conditions. A special mention would have to go to Pat o Connell , Joe o Reilly and  Alan mc Govern who looked like  drowned rats at the end of the game. Finally a big thank you to our supporters Sheridan , Tina,Ken,Paul and Adrian.

Team; Cillian o Brien, Brian o Connell, Robert mc Govern,Daire Walsh(Captain),Klaudio Dema,Sean Ryan, Timmy Murphy, Kevin o Shea, Darren Sweeney, Shane Lowth,Rian o Connor, subs Dylan o Shea, Marcus Sugrue,Joseph o Callaghan, Kieran Maher

17/10/2009

Back to league fixtures last Saturday with our even age groups in action.

Under 12: K Boys 1 Park 6 All the damage was done in the first 10 minutes of this derby as boys conceded 3 and it was up-hill threreafter. Sloppy play allowed Park in for three easy goals and one more before half time made it a hard task for our young guns. Although we played very well in the second half and scored a peach through Rian O' Connor it was the Park keeper who made some telling saves to keep it to the 1, It's onwards and upwards for our lads from here and the lessons learned will bear them well for the future. As the song goes 2 out of 3 ain't bad for a start to any campaign and this bunch of players will have more good days than bad. Well done to new ref on the block Maurice O' Shea who dealt with his first Schoolboy derby in great fashion.

Under 12 B: K. Boys 6 Kenmare 1

Scoreless at half time this game exploded to life in the second.Goals from Jamie Leen, Cian O' Brien and a brace apiece for Eoin Hennessy and Danny Houlihan sealed the deal for Boys. It;s 2 out of 2 for Adrian and Kieran so well done lads and keep it going.

Adrian O'Shea writes: We started most of the same team that were victorious over Killorglin but we came up against a physically stronger outfit in Mastergeeha and to be fair we were on the backfoot for most of first half. Fionan made his debut for us at centre half alongside Jack and was very impressive in his attitude. Jack Carmody in goal was kept busy but stood up very well to the pressure and it was thanks to Dara Lowth who made 2 goalline clearances to keep us in it at half time. We made 2 changes at half time with debuts for Seanie Field and Danny Houlihan coming in for Wesley and Kevin. What happened in the 2nd half was a fantastic turnaround and Danny popped up at the back post following great work for Eoin Hennesy to score with his first touch. This lifted the team completely and with Cian O'Brien in the middle of the park getting in top with Paul Nolan we started to dominate. Danny scored from a corner and straight from the tip was one of the best goals I have ever witnessed in these grounds at any level. Eoin closed down the tip, won the ball and went around at least 6 players and tucked it away for a truly brilliant piece of individual skill. 3 turned to 4 when Jamie Leen finished nicely, they got 1 back berfore Eoin and Cian who deserved his goal for his workrate finished Mastergeeha off. The final score was 6-1 to us, which you couldnt have predicted at half time but our fitness levels and team spirit is marvellous this year. Well done boys.Team Jack Carmody,Conor Brick, Kevin Murphy,Jack O'Shea, Fionan,Dara Lowth, Wesley Meehan,Paul Nolan,Cian O'Brien, Eoin Hennesy, Jamie Leen.subs;Charlie O'Grady, Danny Houlihan, Sean Field, Stephen Aherne and Ciaran Magee. Man of the match. Eoin Hennesy.

Under 14 K Boys 6 Listowel 0: A Hat trick from Gary O' Neill, 2 from Brian O' Connell and 1 from Dylan Flynn gave Boys all the points from this U14 league game played in wonderful conditions in Ard Na Li.Boys started bright and completely outplayed our North Kerry visitors with some superb combination and passing play. This is 2 out of 2 for our lads so again it's keep up the good work and it will be a promising season. Well done to Pa and Alan who are putting in the hours that are required.

Under 11: In a re-arranged mid week game Boys went down 1- 0 away to Listowel. Full report on the website.

Q Who scored the 2 goals for Ireland V Italy in last weeks World Cup Qualifier in Dublin?

15/10/2009

INTERNATIONAL CALL UP: Congratulations to Kingdom Boys player Gary O'Neill on his selection to the Ireland Under 15 squad. Gary is a central midfielder for the U-14, U-15 & U-16 teams.

Under 15 manager Colm Clifford said it's a great honour to be associated with such a great young player who's attitude throughout has been exemplary.Gary's international call up was well deserved, all those people involved with Gary's career to date knew that this day would come. We wish Gary the best of luck in the future.

Gary was also a member of the Ireland team that took part in the Hibernia Cup recently in Dublin.

Under 15 National Cup: Kingdom Boys 5 Regional 0 : The scoreline says it all for Colm and Adrians charges who completely outplayed our Limerick visitors from start to finish. With Paul in goals Arjent, Michael, Gearoid and Donnacha in total control at the back and Gary and Darragh dominating the midfield Regional had no chance. Niall and Nonny dominated the flanks with precision and the free scoring Nigel and Seanie were always causing the regional back line trouble. Wayne when introduced was impressive. Boys now go on to play Granagh in the next round again at home. Played in beautiful conditions on the League of ireland pitch some of the passing and control play displayed by this team augers well for the future. 2 goals apiece from Darragh and Nigel and 1 from Seanie (the flying machine moloney) tore Regional apart. Gearoid (Richard Dunne in disguise) displayed a master class performance at centre half to-day well done big man.

The only sour note from this game was the level of protection afforded to the home team players by the official on duty. It is his duty of responsibilty to carry this out, unfortunately it was not. Some of the tackles that went in were dangerous to say the least and we were lucky that no-one was seriously injured. If Managers/Coaches and players are to be held responsible for their actions and behaviour officials should be also. The amount of countless hours put in by coaches/players these days to develop their skills surely should be recognised and the duty of care should be provided.

Under 11 National Cup:Kingdom Boys togged and ready for action were left on the field of play without any opponents and now go through to the next round away to Kenmare or Ballynanty Rovers. Brian and Pa will no doubt already be preparing for the next round.

Under 13 League:Kingdom Boys were again left here wondering if anybody wanted to play them or were all the other teams gone to the beach. No show from Dingle so this one will have to be resolved by the KSL.

Thanks:Many thanks to Ken, Miah and Peter for organising tea/coffee/biscuits/hot food for our visitors last saturday. Ken and Peter are dab hands in the kitchen and deadly with the mop. Miah's cooking ability is second to none and his home cooked lasagne was a treat. Please consult your doctor in the event of stomach aches. Thanks to Paul Lowth who did look after our visitors with proper hot food.

Support: Many thanks to all the Dynamos squad for supporting the lads. Great to see so many of the senior squad and Manager showing an interest in our schoolboys. Lets return the favour next Sunday lads.

Under 16 National Cup: Kingdom Boys 6 Pike Rovers 0 Pike Rovers travelled to Tralee last Saturday full of optimism and hoping to overturn the home side. Boys again started without 3 of their senior players due to injury. Boys started brightly and piled the pressure on their Limerick visitors and were awarded a penalty but this was brilliantly stopped by the impressive Pike keeper.

The first wasn't long arriving when influential midfielder Darragh O' Brien played Sponge through and Sponge ''Torres'' O' Brien finished clinically. Sponge was awarded a week in Lanzarote for his goal exploits of last season. The second was soon coming and for those present in Cahermoneen last Saturday they would have witnessed one of the best ever scored in  Cahermoneen. Darragh O' Brien was again involved and played a beautiful through ball to Adam and as the Keeper was advancing and two defenders nearing he sidefooted the ball with the outside of his left foot from the right corner of the box and into the net.

Boys went on to dominate from here on and two more from Adam and two from the impressive Uros sealed the deal for boys. Boys had many great players on the day and were also boosted by the return of Bobby after a long spell out. Boys are now home to Killmallock in round 3. Such was the talent on show Jason Fitzgerald and Sean Sullivan Dynamos Manager and head coach have invited the 16's to train with the Eircom squad this Tuesday.

Thanks: Many thanks to Noel for organising tea/coffee and biscuits for our visitors last saturday and for all the Dynamos squad for supporting the lads.

UNDER 12 LEAGUE: Kingdom Boys b 5 killorglin 1 played 6th Oct 2009 - We started with a good breeze behind us and had Killorglin on the backfoot from the very start with Paul Nolan and Cian O'Brien gettin on top of the midfield early allowing Wesley Meehan and Dara Lowth to get forward to support our strikers Eoin Hennessy and Jamie Leen. We went 1 up after ten minutes following good work from Tom Phelan and Paul Nolan ending with Paul putting a great through ball to Eoin who finished well.

Ten minutes later Dara released Wesley who unleashed a piledriver to put us 2 up. Our defence were solid throughtout marshalled by Jack O'Shea alongside Thomas Phelan, Conor Brick and Kevin Murphy with Jack Carmody in goals loooking the real deal. 5 mins into the 2nd half we went 3 up through Wesley again before killorglin got 1 back.

We responded straight away following an excellent run by Dara to find Jamie whose workrate deserved a goal, we made several subs and Stephen,Gavin,Paul,Kyle,Kieran and Charlie all played their part and a good run by Kyle found Tom Phelan who found the bottom corner with a peach. all in all a very satisfying performance by our boys and this augurs well for the rest of the campaign. A lot of solid performances throughout the team but for sheer tenasity and drive my man of the match was Dara Lowth.

Many thanks to Adrain O'Shea for the article.

U14 NATIONAL CUP: Kingdom Boys 0 St.Brendan's Park 9 Kingdom Boys lined out for this game against Park without their two International players Gary and Jared due to injury. Park are strong at this age and as we had to field 7 Under 13's this was always going to be a strong ask of this young side. Pa can be really pleased with his troops and can now concentrate on their domestic league/cup campaign. Fantastic displays from Killian, Brian, Mike, Claudio and Rob at the back Sean, Matt, Danny, Dylan in Midfield and Shane up front showed that these guys were never going to give up. Here's hoping that the Kennedy Cup Management was watching as Killian, Brian, Claudio, Rob and Sean were by far the best footballers on show.

Saturday 26th saw the first big day of fixtures for the 09/10 season. K Boys had 3 teams out and came away with 3 comprehensive wins.

Under 12 Premier: K Boys 7 Kenmare 0 K Boys made it 2 wins out of 2 in the league on Saturday with a comprehensive win over Kenmare. Boys played lovely fleunt football throughout and only for some good saves and solid defending by Kenmare the result would have been more comprehensive. Scorers for Boys were Chris Rodgers, Jimmy Shanahan, Calvin Foley, Darren Sweeney,Ferdia O' Brien and 2 from the wing wizard Shane Lowth. Some very solid displays from Shane, Darren, Diarmud, Joe and Jonathan led Boys to the top of the table where they hope to stay.

Under 14 League: K Boys 4 Kenmare 2 Playing the second game in Cahermoneen boys 14's came away with a debut win for new managers Pa Cunningham and his assistant Alan Mc Govern. Indeed the new training regime that Pa has his troops going through is paying rich dividends. Starting with his new system this team is going to be very difficult to break down. Goals from Shane, Nick, Danny and a sublime shot from Matt sealed the deal for Boys. Great displays from Klaudio, Josh, Sean, Matt and Jared were to the fore on the day.

Under 16 Premier: K Boys 6 Camp United 0 Starting without 4 of last years teams senior players through illness and injury Boys started their new campaign in Ard Na Li with a well earned win over Camp. Leading 2 0 at the break through goals from Darren and Darragh Boys scored 4 more through Darragh(2) Darren and a solo effort by David (Robinho) O' Sullivan sealed the win for Boys. Brilliant displays from Darragh O' Brien, Gary O' Neill, DC and Scott from midfield laid the foundations for this emphatic win. Alan, David, Coach and Nonny were solid throughout and Paul when called upon in goals made some telling saves. Darren and Alan started where they left off last season scoring at every opportunity. Uros got a few minuts under his belt and along with new boy Ryan and Niall all contributed to a great start. Miah, Tony Duggan and Darco will be well pleased with the start and hope to build on this further with some of the lads coming back in.

Referee's: On many occassions these lads get a fair amount of bad press but with officials like Eoin Moynihan and Seamie Mahony the KSL is in safe hands. Both men laid down the new rules of bad language to all last Saturday and their contribution to the games was there for all to see.

Having soaked up a period of pressure the Boys settled and after drawing level, finished the stronger forcing three corners but just failed to hit the back of the net . Great praise to all the lads on thier competive debut.

Manager Adrian O'Shea writes: Last Saturday we became the first team in Kerry to capture silverware this season by winning our league. The coverage we got in the local papers was laughable to say the least and Kieran and I feel the boys deserve more credit for what they achieved.

Im just gonna run through the squad and thank every one of them for their commitment to training and matches throughout the year. I really think this squad is as good as any in Kerry and look forward to having a run at the cup starting with Fenit away.

Paul Lynch in goals is in my opinion the best goalkeeper in the club and one of the best at Under 12 this season. He was on the Kerry Schoolboys "team of the week" twice this year and is the backbone of the side and mad as a hatter to boot.

Our defence this year was rock solid with Conor Brick, Jack O'Shea,Kevin Murphy,Sean Field,Fionan Mackessy,Stephen Aherne,Charlie O'Grady,Kieran Magee all playing important roles. In midfield we had Danny Houlihan,Cian O'Brien,Aaron O'Keefe,Darren Bastible,Paul Nolan,Wesley Meehan,Dominic Carton, and Sam Mansfield all playing a part in our title run and up top we were lucky to have the qualities of Eoin Edwards,Mario Ziege,Eoin Hennessy and Jamie Leen who between them scored most of our goals. Thanks also the others who trained throughout the year Joseph,Dara, the 2 Jasons,Sean and Luke but special mention goes to in our opinion the player of the season for us Dara Lowth.

Dara is only 9 years old and has been the star of the season on the right wing for us.Tough, tenacious, versatile, he has the talent to go a long way in this game and personally its been a pleasure to coach him and the rest of the boys. Congrats lads ye deserve it.
